The Fasting Path: Inner Quest Experience – Virtual (Optional)
Feb. 1-7, 2024

“The decision to fast often begins in a deep, unconscious part of the soul. Eventually, if we are wise, we begin to listen, think, and prepare ourselves for a journey. Like all journeys, fasting takes preparation of the soul, emotions, and body.:
- Stephen Harrod Buhner

This week-long experience can be life-changing as each day is a commitment to self-love and conscious living. With carefully designed tools and techniques, you can explore your body, mind, and spirit and overcome limitations. The program includes guided meditations, introspection and journaling time, nature-play, and breathwork. These integral components will help you grow personally and practically.

The Fasting Path with Lorenna Kacera and Shantree Kacera, held exclusively online to serve our worldwide community, consists of a 7-day spiritual juice fast (non-medical) to support the body, mind, emotions and spirit.

During this online retreat, you will likely make a deeper connection to your soul by creating a quiet mind, returning to your sacred design, and accessing higher spiritual energies.

Daily activities such as earth connection meditation, insightful lectures, and spiritual discussions offer you an opportunity to enhance your spiritual fasting journey by including more profound levels of relaxation, self-discovery, and expansion of consciousness.

This module revolves around eight universal metabolizers that have been ignored for a long time. These metabolic enhancers are transubstantial, which means they are beyond the realm of matter. They cannot be touched, seen, bottled, or sold. Yet, they are crucial to food, water, and exercise metabolism. Without them, we would not be able to thrive as the vibrant and expressive beings we are meant to be.

Discover the practical tools that will yield life-transforming, rejuvenating results.

There are universal metabolizers, the essential missing pieces in our collective metabolic puzzle. The next generation of powerful biological rejuvenators will prove vital to your health at the deepest level of medical reality.

“As long as we are not living in harmony with nature and our constitution, we cannot expect ourselves to be healed. Ayurveda gives us the means.”

“The revolution that is demanded by our yearning for peace, freedom, and happiness must provide a new foundation for our culture, moving it away from its herding values of oppression and disconnectedness toward…values of respect, kindness, equality, sensitivity, and connectedness. Above all, this revolution must change our relationship to our meals—our most practiced rituals—and our food, our most powerful inner and outer symbol.”
- Will Tuttle, World Peace Diet

“Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet.” - Albert Einstein

“At this point in our planetary history, if we are simply to survive, we need to follow the law of unity between humanity and nature. If we keep trying to break the laws of nature, they will eventually break us.”
- Dr. Gabriel Cousens

“If you want to change your lifestyle, you must first change your mindset. Nobody can control you, but once you take responsibility for your actions, you will have the power to bring about change. Passion, enthusiasm, focus, and discipline are vital ingredients for creating anything in life. Our mind is a powerful tool, and we can manifest anything.

Can adopting an Ayurvedic Living Foods Lifestyle help us break free from our self-centred tendencies and feelings of isolation while also healing our inclination towards domination, aggression towards the feminine, and exclusivity? Can it assist in developing intuitive wisdom, cultivating compassion, and catalyzing our spiritual growth?”

The answer is a resounding YES!

These sessions will explore the deep spiritual longing behind our global challenges and nutritional crisis. By acknowledging the interconnectedness of our food, body, mind, emotions, spirit, and nature, we can take a wholistic approach to nourishing ourselves. We will embrace the practice of living cuisine as a means of creative expression and a transformative path toward the divine.

“All the beauty that’s been lost before. Wants to find us again.”

A Leadership Approach

Leadership is a form of experiential education that has been around for a long time – almost as long as the concept of apprenticeship. In some cultures, herbal training is conducted where seasoned herbalists work closely with others to impart their knowledge. While the structure of these relationships may differ, the aim is to share information and provide support, guidance, and constructive feedback.

Our process supports individuals in becoming confident, skilled leaders. Often, those who have completed training in plant nutrition actively seek the support and guidance of an experienced nutritionist to act as a mentor.

Community is a crucial aspect of nutrition because wholistic nutrition is based on relationships. These relationships exist between ourselves, our health, and the plants we consume. One of the most unique relationships in nutrition is the bond between a plant mentor and their student. Aspiring nutritionists often find mentors to learn from, as this is the traditional way that plant medicine knowledge is passed down from one generation to the next. Many whole food nutritionists have had mentors who have helped them become the conscious nutritionists they are today, and some continue to work with mentors to further their knowledge.

The guide-student relationship is valuable and unique because it helps us orient ourselves. Who do we want to become? In what direction are we moving? Mentors are individuals we wish to emulate, people who have been where we are now and have gone ahead where we want to travel. Having a mentor also helps us by providing insight and perspective when the going gets tough. When we struggle with new questions or a new case study, and we can’t seem to find answers, or when it seems like we’ve lost our way on our path, a mentor can be there with encouragement, a new idea, or the wisdom from a parallel experience that helps us find the missing pieces of our puzzles.

The definition of the word is “an experienced and trusted advisor.” That’s a rather broad definition! Each mentor-student relationship is unique since those two parts of the equation will always be two different individuals. It’s up to the parties involved to create the relationship in a way that makes sense for them.

In some cases, the leadership unfolds very informally, like a friendship. However, mentorships can also be very formal, even to the extent of the mentor being paid in exchange for their time and the mentoring experience being guided by a written contract that details specific goals and desired outcomes the student and mentor have for the relationship.

Regardless of the prearrangement being formal or informal, a mentor is there to inspire and support the ongoing growth of the student and to provide assistance. They should be willing to help us troubleshoot, although it’s okay if they don’t just hand us the answers! Making us think and offering helpful suggestions when problems arise are the symbols of a truly great mentor. They understand our efforts and are there for us when we need encouragement. They can also help us be realistic and hold us to a standard, helping set the foundation for skills and a knowledge base that will serve us well.

Most importantly, though, mentors can be a role model. We should be careful not to put them on a pedestal – after all, our mentors are human, too – but at the same time, they should be people we think are worthy of imitating in some way. Our mentors are setting examples for us as teachers, consultants, and professionals.

It is important to remember that having a mentor is not a replacement for learning about herbs and herbalism on your own time – it should complement your studies. The point of being mentored is to assist you to grow on your path! Trustworthiness is essential; the relationship should always be directed by professionalism. The mentor-student relationship should always be mutually respectful.

“It is the supreme art of the educator to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge.”
~Albert Einstein
