Three Core Ethics

A Sanctuary for Sacred Living, Conscious Connection, and Earth Renewal

1. Reverence for Life

We honour all life as sacred. Every being, human, plant, animal, and elemental, is part of an interconnected web. We live with deep respect for the Earth and the Spirit that flows through all things.

2. Right Relationship

We strive to live in harmony with ourselves, with others, and with the natural world. This means acting with integrity, humility, and care in all we do.

3. Regeneration in Action

We are committed to practices that restore, replenish, and renew. From how we grow food to how we welcome guests, we seek to live in a way that supports the flourishing of all life, now and for future generations.

Our Green Policies

Living in Harmony with Earth, Spirit, and Each Other

The Living Centre is rooted in a deep respect for the natural world and a devotion to living in harmony with the Earth. Our philosophy and daily practices are informed by regenerative ecology, sacred plant wisdom, elemental intelligence, and a commitment to living in right relationship with all of life.

This Green Policy outlines the guiding principles we follow to ensure that every aspect of how we live, grow, nourish, and welcome others reflects our care for the Earth and the future generations of all species.

Earth-Regenerative Design & Daily Practice

The Living Centre is designed to function as a living organism. Our buildings, gardens, and practices are shaped by ecological intelligence. We use renewable energy whenever possible, including solar systems and passive heating and cooling methods. Our land-based infrastructure is designed in harmony with the seasons, the local topography, and the surrounding ecosystem.

Our gardens are designed using principles of permaculture and forest gardening. They serve as vibrant, biodiverse spaces that provide food, medicine, and sanctuary for both people and pollinators. We grow heirloom, medicinal, and edible plants without the use of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We recognize the land as a teacher and co-participant in the process of regeneration.

Zero-Waste & Circular Living

We are committed to cultivating a zero-waste culture. All organic food scraps and garden waste are composted on-site and returned to the soil as nourishment. Packaging is minimized, reused, or avoided altogether. We carefully consider each item that enters or leaves the land and choose reusable, repairable, and recyclable materials wherever possible.

Workshops, retreats, and gatherings are designed to reflect these values. Guests are encouraged to bring reusable containers and minimize their own waste. We regularly assess our systems to make sure we are reducing our ecological footprint and increasing our contribution to the health of the whole.

Plant-Based, Local & Seasonal Nourishment

The nourishment we offer is more than food—it is a sacred expression of our relationship with the Earth. All meals are prepared using plant-based, primarily organic, and seasonal ingredients. We prioritize foods grown in our gardens and by local farmers who share our values. This approach not only reduces emissions from transportation but also strengthens regional food sovereignty and community resilience.

Food is prepared and served as a sacred act. We recognize each plant as a living being and prepare meals with mindfulness and gratitude. Our cuisine reflects the principles of Ayurvedic nutrition and live-food vitality, aligned with the rhythm of the seasons and the needs of those we serve.

Water as a Living Being

We treat water as a sacred force. We practice water conservation by using low-flow fixtures, rainwater harvesting, and greywater systems where appropriate. We avoid the use of any chemical soaps, cleaning products, or personal care items that could contaminate our water systems or soil.

Our relationship with water goes beyond functionality. We offer Sacred Water Ceremonies and teachings that honor water as a life-giving element and living intelligence. Participants are invited to deepen their connection with this essential force of life, recognizing the gift and responsibility it carries.

Conscious Purchasing & Ethical Partnerships

We carefully choose all products and materials brought onto the land. From cleaning supplies to building materials, office products to linens, everything is chosen based on its environmental footprint, ethical sourcing, and alignment with our values.

We support local and fair-trade artisans, producers, and small-scale growers. We avoid synthetic, plastic-heavy, or disposable items whenever possible. Our choices are guided by the principle that every dollar spent is a vote for the kind of world we wish to live in.

Ecological Transportation and Accessibility

We encourage eco-conscious travel and ride-sharing for participants coming to The Living Centre. Clear directions and support are offered to minimize unnecessary emissions. When possible, we offer online options or hybrid formats for teaching and consultations to reduce the need for travel.

We recognize that accessibility and regeneration must go hand-in-hand. We continue to explore new ways of sharing our work that honour both the Earth and the diverse needs of our community.

Education as Earth Stewardship

Education is at the heart of The Living Centre. Through retreats, workshops, and community gatherings, we share the principles of regenerative living, Ayurvedic Earth wisdom, eco-spirituality, and plant intelligence. Every program includes teachings that help participants understand how to live more in harmony with nature—both within themselves and in their homes and communities.

We see each visitor as a seed carrier. We provide tools and inspiration so they can carry the spirit of Earth reverence and ecological integrity back to their own lives, families, and landscapes.

Biodiversity & Habitat Protection

We are dedicated to protecting the biodiversity of this land and its wild inhabitants. We create habitat corridors for pollinators, birds, amphibians, and other species native to our region. We plant with purpose, choosing native, wild, and heirloom species that nourish the soil, support pollination, and offer medicine to both humans and the Earth.

We recognize that our well-being is intimately connected to the health of all living beings and strive to live in a way that nurtures this interdependence.

Closing Commitment

The Green Policy of The Living Centre is a living document. It is reviewed each year and adapted as our understanding of ecological responsibility and regenerative practice deepens.

We do not claim to be perfect. But we are committed. Every step we take is guided by a love for this planet, a devotion to future generations, and a longing to live in a way that truly reflects the sacredness of life.

Our invitation is simple: live as if the Earth matters, because she does.
