Ayurvedic Living Nutrition:

“Nourishment by the Elements, every tree, plant, shrub, herb, fruit and seed possesses the life-giving juice rasa, the essence of which has been refined since the beginning of life.”
~Maya Tiwari
Ancient Wisdom ~ Modern Science
Ayurveda is a wholistic health and wellness philosophy that recognizes the distinctiveness of each person. According to Ayurvedic teachings, every individual is unique and has a specific biochemical composition, which includes varying levels of hormones, enzymes, and neurotransmitters. Additionally, every person reacts differently to their environment. This means that a single approach to health and nutrition is insufficient for everyone. It is not logical to assume that one particular diet or lifestyle will work for all individuals, as each person’s body and mind is different. The question arises as to where the concept of a one-size-fits-all diet comes from, considering the individuality and diversity of the human race.
Many ideas are available on maintaining good health by eating healthy. You can find diets named after the authors who wrote the books, those named after the food eaten, those named after blood types, and those that promise to keep you in the “zone.” New books and ideas are published every month. Ayurveda is a 5000-year-old science that aims to help people understand what is right for them as unique individuals by evaluating how a person’s digestive system, nervous system, and other systems of the body function and by assessing a person’s body structure, a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist can design a diet specific to the client’s needs.
What is Ayurvedic Nutrition?
Ayurveda is a wholistic healthcare system that acknowledges that every action we take in life has a reaction. Therefore, it is a science that brings awareness to all our activities, including what and how we eat, live, think, and relate to others and ourselves. In a practical format, we will explore the impact of the vital energies of foods, herbs, and spices on our well-being. Ayurveda is a compassionate journey of self-discovery that provides tools to become your own best doctor.
Our overall health is significantly affected by the things we consume. According to Ayurveda, food is a carrier and balancer of Prana, the vital life force. Each food item has unique energy and flavour characteristics that distinctly impact our physical constitution. In this session, we will explore these essential concepts further.
Ayurveda, which translates to “Knowledge of Life,” is a philosophy that promotes conscious living. It’s a holistic healing system that employs whole, natural foods to treat and prevent illnesses. This ancient approach to life emphasizes that the best way to nourish the body is by eating foods that nature has provided. Ayurveda advocates for maintaining a healthy mind, body, and spirit for overall well-being.
What is Living Nutrition?
Living foods are the original foods provided to us by Mother Nature. They contain the most bioactive nutrients, phytonutrients, bioelectrical energy, biologically active water, and electrons. They are nature’s gifts to help us stay healthy.
To understand living foods, we must remember that if something is not broken, there is no need to fix it. Living foods are not cooked, processed, treated with pesticides, herbicides, microwaved, irradiated, or genetically engineered. According to the mother of the raw foods movement, Dr. Ann Wigmore, cooking destroys vital enzymes essential to good health.
Cultures that consume primarily live foods enjoy higher health, vitality, and joy. Fresh plant-based live foods can support immunity, promote a healthy pH, and enhance beauty, clarity, emotional and spiritual strength.
The statement “They represent an unbroken wholeness that is the original creation and nutritional gift of the Divine” refers to food as a complete and natural gift from a higher power. The understanding that our food is an energetic whole that is more significant than the sum of its parts reflects a quantum mechanics view of nutrition. It is the most ancient way of living in harmony with oneself and the earth.
Living foods are crucial in the Sevenfold Path for spiritual life. By receiving the gifts offered by this course, we can heal ourselves and share those gifts with our loved ones. Together, we can make a difference.
