  • 1. Deposit Requirements:

    • A deposit of $1000.00 US is required upon registration to secure your spot.

    2. Cancellation Policy:

    • 60 days or more before the retreat: Full refund of any payments made (minus a cancellation fee of $200 US).

    • 45 to 60 days before the retreat: 50% refund of total payment.

    • Less than 45 days before the retreat: No refunds will be issued.

    3. Transfer Policy:

    • Participants may transfer their registration to another person up to 30 days before the retreat. Notification must be given in writing.

    4. Special Circumstances:

    • A partial refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis in case of pandemic restrictions

    5. Retreat Cancellation:

    • If the organizer cancels the retreat, all payments will be fully refunded.

    6. Changes to the Policy:

    • The organizer reserves the right to amend this policy. Any changes will be communicated to participants.

Lorenna Bousquet-Kacera is a Métis Elder, Earth ceremonialist and founder of Shamanu: Earth Wisdom Teachings (est 1989). A Work that Reconnects, Deeptime and certified Permaculture educator. With over 45 years of experience, Lorenna creates sacred spaces where silence, ecosomatic processes and ritual invite deep regeneration and inner visioning. Through her guidance, people reconnect to the sacred rhythms of life and step into their full potential with power, purpose, guided by a deep reverence for the natural world. As co-director of The Living Centre, a 50-acre eco-spiritual sanctuary in Canada, Lorenna nurtures a path of healing, balance, and dreaming the ‘yet to be.’

  • La EcoVilla is nestled in the lush hills of San Mateo, Costa Rica, surrounded by pristine forests, clear rivers, and several neighboring ecovillages. It offers a serene and regenerative environment ideal for deep connection with nature and self.

  • We offer shared and private eco-friendly accommodations designed to blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. Rooms balance comfort, simplicity, and beauty, with access to clean spring water, nourishing plant-based meals, and communal spaces.

  • Air travel and transportation to and from San Jose Airport to the retreat centre are not included in the retreat price. We will provide detailed travel recommendations and support you in planning your journey.

  • We encourage guests to explore Costa Rica beyond the retreat. Please contact us if you wish to extend your stay at La EcoVilla or need assistance finding additional accommodations.

  • The area is rich in biodiversity. You might see tropical birds, monkeys, butterflies, and other native wildlife — a true immersion in nature’s web.

  • All meals are organic, plant-based, and thoughtfully prepared to support cleansing, nourishment, and vitality. Many dishes incorporate local superfoods and Ayurvedic principles to support your body's renewal process. We accommodate dietary restrictions.

  • Our retreats are primarily conducted in English. If you require support in another language, please inquire and we will do our best to accommodate.

  • You’ll receive a detailed welcome package with packing suggestions. We recommend comfortable clothing suitable for movement and the tropical climate, swimwear for river swims, reusable water bottle, journal, sun protection, insect repellent, and any personal items you need for comfort. We provide yoga mats and other materials.
