Earth Prayer: Forest Dance

Saturday May 30, 1:30pm to 5 pm The Living Centre

There is a place that remembers. It is called ‘Forest’.

At The Living Centre, we gather among ancient trees, some standing for more than two hundred and fifty years. They have witnessed cycles of change, seasons of light and shadow, and the unfolding story of life on Earth. They remain deeply rooted, in constant relationship with sun, wind, waters, and the living intelligence that moves through all things.

This gathering is an invitation to enter that same remembrance within ourselves.

Through dance, we enter a space of clearing and renewal. Movement becomes prayer. Breath becomes offering. The body becomes a listening field for what lives beneath thought and story. In this shared rhythm, something softens and opens, allowing ancestral memory to rise and be felt in a grounded, embodied way.

Earth Prayer Forest Dance

Following the dance, there will be time in solo connection with a chosen tree. A quiet meeting. A space to ask the deeper questions that arise in times of transition. Why am I here? What am I here to offer? What is being asked of me now?

We will close our time together around the fire, in shared reflection and circle. Listening to one another. Returning to community. Returning to presence.

This gathering is offered as a contribution to these times through the primordial languages of movement, stillness, and communion with the living Earth. It is an invitation to participate in transformation through simplicity, awareness, and care.

Held by Lorenna Bousquet-Kacera, elder and long-time steward of The Living Centre, this is a space guided by lived practice, relationship with land, and devotion to the intelligence of nature.

All are welcome who feel called to step into this shared field of prayer, dance, and remembrance.

Lorenna Bousquet-Kacera is an Earth ceremonialist and Métis grandmother whose soul is woven with the ancient wisdom of the land. For 35 years, she has stewarded the sacred inter-arts traditions of Shamanu: Earth-Wisdom Teachings and WomanEarth, a path that blends eco-spirituality, cosmic philosophy, and embodied practices.
Dance, movement and voice have been a natural part of her life since she was a young child. These ancient arts have been both a space for her to reconnect with herself and the Earth, and to heal childhood trauma. Her love of movement came from a primordial knowing that we have each been given this joyful gift by nature to self-regulate, empower and transform our lives.
