Shamanu: Earth Wisdom Teachings

Reweaving our place within the great story of life.

Shamanu emerged out of my own healing crisis more than three decades ago. At that time, I felt profoundly disconnected, from my body, from others, and from the living Earth. Something inside me knew there had to be another way, a deeper way of belonging to life.

Over these 35 years, Shamanu has been my companion and my teacher, inviting me into an ever-deepening inquiry into what it means to be human in relationship with my own body, with the natural world, and with the great unfolding story of the cosmos itself.

We live in extraordinary and challenging times. Humanity is facing ecological collapse, social fragmentation, and a growing sense of separation from the very Earth that sustains us. Yet beneath the noise, there’s a quiet remembering stirring, an ancient pulse calling us home. Shamanu is part of that remembering.

A Returning

For hundreds of thousands of years, our ancestors lived in deep relationship with the Earth. They understood that we are woven into a vast, living web of life. They read the stars and the seasons, they listened to the rivers and the wind, they honoured the reciprocity between giving and receiving. They lived with awe, wonder, and reverence because they knew they belonged.

Somewhere along the way, we forgot.

Modern culture has pulled us away from this deep relationality. We live at a pace that numbs our perception, within systems that separate us from each other, from our own bodies, and from the living Earth. We’ve forgotten how to listen. We’ve forgotten that life is sacred.

Shamanu invites us to remember. To return. To reawaken the ancient knowing that lives in our bones and blood - that we are not separate from nature, but expressions of it.

Living in Deeptime

At the heart of Shamanu are indigenous remembrance,  Deeptime awareness - the recognition that we are part of a story far larger than ourselves. Every breath we take carries the memory of the cosmos. The same atoms in our bodies were forged in the heart of stars. The same spiraling forces that move galaxies also shape our cells, our rivers, our forests, and our dreams.

Deep Ecology teaches us that we are not just connected to life - we are life. We are not visitors on Earth; we are an expression of the Earth, born of her waters, nourished by her soils, shaped by her winds.

When we remember this, something begins to shift. We move differently. We speak differently. We begin to make choices that arise not from fear or scarcity, but from reverence and care.

A Relational Way of Living

Shamanu is not a belief system or a set of techniques. It’s a way of living rooted in relationship.

Relationship with the body - learning to listen to its wisdom, its sensations, its subtle language.
Relationship with the Earth - reigniting our sense of awe, falling in love again with the rivers, the trees, the stars.
Relationship with each other - cultivating compassion, reciprocity, and belonging within our human communities.

Through this deep relationality, we begin to foster a profound sense of care and love for life itself. Shamanu reminds us that when we fall back into relationship, with ourselves, with nature, with each other, we naturally begin to protect what we love

Practices of Remembering

Within Shamanu, we engage practices that help us remember what our bodies and ancestors already know.

Through Primordial Movement, a fluid explorations of breath, sound, and sensation, we reconnect with the wave-motion that animates all of life. We remember that our bodies are not separate from the great movements of rivers, tides, and galaxies. As we move, energy trapped within us begins to flow, and we touch the deeper intelligence that has always been guiding us.

Through eco-somatic explorations, deep time meditations, and earth-based ceremony, we rekindle awe and reverence. We begin to inhabit the living pulse of life again, not as an idea, but as a felt experience.

An Invitation

We are living in a time of great unraveling and great possibility. The Earth is calling us to remember who we are and how to live in harmony once more. Shamanu offers a path of reconnection, a way to come home to ourselves, to each other, and to the larger living web of existence.

This is not about transcending life but about falling more deeply in love with it.
It’s about cultivating the capacity to meet life as it is, with tenderness and awe.
It’s about returning to the sacred conversation between body, Earth, and cosmos.

If you feel the quiet longing to belong more deeply…
If you sense there is wisdom your body remembers…
If you’re ready to fall in love again with this magnificent, mysterious world…

Then perhaps Shamanu is already calling you.

Shamanu: Earth Wisdom Teachings

“Where the body remembers the language of creation.”

We were born from stardust, shaped by rivers, forests, and fire.
Somewhere along the way, we forgot.

Shamanu is an invitation to remember.
To return to the ancient knowing that your body carries,
to the belonging your soul has never lost.

It is a call to fall in love again—
with a living Earth,
with the wild intelligence that breathes through you,
with the great mystery shaping galaxies and dreams alike.

Here, we slow down.
We listen.
We remember ourselves as part of something vast and alive.

Shamanu is not a method.
It is a way of being
rooted in reverence,
nourished by deep time,
woven through relationship with body, land, and cosmos.

Come home to the pulse beneath your breath.
Reignite your sense of awe.
Belong again to life.
