Costa Rica
At the Diamante Waterfall Earth Sanctuary
Feb 19 - 26, 2027
Shalorea is an immersion into another way of inhabiting the world: Earth as teacher, plants as allies, the body as a living instrument of perception, and our lives as an expression of nature's intelligence.
Through direct relationship with the elements and the living landscape, we begin to experience ourselves as participants within a vast ecology of life. The senses open, the body becomes more receptive, and the boundaries between inner and outer soften.
Shalorea invites us into a life of greater intimacy, vitality and communion, where the sacred and the everyday become part of the same living experience.
Shalorea is an invitation to come home to what has always been waiting beneath the surface -
your most natural, sensuous, sovereign self.
Where Earth Remembers You
The body knows. The heart knows. The Earth knows.
For seven days, we enter the ‘remembering’ together within the living temple of rainforest, waterfalls, the Earth beneath us and the stars above. Here, Shalorea becomes a lived experience.
Wrapped in the arms of nature, we slow down enough to feel heart, body, spirit, community again, and experience Earth as one living whole.
We weave Earth Wisdom, Primordial Movement®, Ayurvedic Ecology, Tree Medicine, Sacred Plant Intelligence, Earth ceremony, breath, dance, contemplation, sensory awakening, living foods, elemental exploration, conversation and silence into the experience.
The Remembrance
Through this, you remember what it means to be human, embodied with a vibrant capacity to feel, sense, love, create, grieve, imagine and participate in the mystery of being alive. Realized in your relationship with your bodies, with one another, with the trees and plants, the elements, the Earth beneath you and the greater cosmos to which you belong.
Why This Journey Matters Now
The world has grown fast, loud, and demanding. Many of us live stretched thin, disconnected from our senses, our breath, and our natural vitality. The Shalorea Experience offers what modern life has forgotten - a place to slow down enough for your spirit to catch up.
You Will Experience
-
Elemental Embodiment
Awaken the body as a vessel of Earth’s intelligence. Through movement, breath, and sound, embody the alchemy of the five elements - earth, water, fire, air, and ether. -
Jungle Plant Alchemy & Ayurvedic Ecology
Enter into a direct relationship with plants as wise allies through Ayurvedic ecology and the five senses - each a teacher of vitality, harmony and belonging. -
Listening to the Dreaming
Through contemplation, conversation, and solo time, listen for the dreams pulling you forward, what is ready to be left behind, and what wants to become more alive.
-
Ceremony in a Living Temple
Gather at sunrise, honour water, sit with fire, call in the ancestors and star wisdom. Ceremony here becomes a way of life, restoring wonder, reverence and a felt relationship with something larger than oneself. -
Regenerative Living & Sacred Reciprocity
Experience life at Diamonte Falls, one of the world’s most inspiring waterfalls and Earth Sanctuaries. Live close to the Earth and the rhythms of the wild. Embrace sacred reciprocity with nature - from soil to soul. -
Remember What Matters
Through ceremony, silence, shared meals, conversation, laughter and community, return to the beauty, dignity, wonder, and responsibility of being fully human and the extraordinary experience of simply being alive.

Shalorea Through the Five Elements
Day 1 — Arrival & Entering the Journey
Arrival • Dinner • Orientation
Arrive, settle into the land and meet the circle. We begin with dinner, orientation and a gentle opening to the place, the rhythm of the week and the living ecology that will hold us.Day 2 — Water: Softening
Cleansing • Flow • Release
Ocean and river begin the passage by helping us soften, clear and let go. Water invites the body to release tension, restore movement and become more receptive.Day 3 — Water: Deepening
Feeling • Surrender • Renewal
We continue with Water through sensory exploration, movement, reflection and time with the living waters of the landscape. This is a day to listen beneath the surface and let what has been held begin moving again.Day 4 — Air: Opening
Breath • Space • Perspective
Air brings movement, spaciousness and a widening of perception. Through breath, movement, forest walking, conversation and silence, we create room around old patterns and open to fresh ways of seeing and sensing.Day 5 — Fire: Awakening
Vitality • Transformation • Courage
Fire calls forward energy, clarity and the courage to live more fully. Through movement, ceremony, living foods, expression, and reflection, we explore what we want to strengthen, transform, and bring into fuller expression.Day 6 — Ether: Listening to the Dreaming
Stillness • Integration • Possibility
Ether brings us into the spacious field where the week can settle and reveal its deeper meaning. Through solitude, contemplation, conversation and time in nature, we listen for what is emerging, what is asking to be carried forward and what wants to become more alive.Day 7 — Earth: Returning & Closing
Grounding • Belonging • Commitment
We return to Earth to gather the journey into the body and into daily life. Through a closing ceremony, shared reflection and simple commitments, we honour what has been received and root it into the life we are returning to. -

Guided by Earth-Wisdom Elders
Lorenna Bousquet-Kacera and Shantree Kacera founded The Living Centre, an eco-spiritual education sanctuary in Canada. For more than thirty years, Costa Rica has also been a second heart-home for them, a place where the land, forests, waters and rhythms of life have deeply shaped how they live and what they share.
Shantree’s life journey has been devoted to exploring the intricate web of interbeingness- the interconnection between human vitality and the intelligence of nature. Over five decades as an Herbal Elder, Ayurvedic educator, practitioner, and doctor of nutrition have revealed that true well-being is a bioweaving, inseparable from the ecosystems that regenerate us.
Lorenna is a Metis Elder and founder of Shamanu: Earth Wisdom Teachings. Her life and teachings have grown from an intimate relationship with the living Earth. As a guide, visionary and advocate for conscious living, Lorenna brings over five decades of teaching and walking an Earth-centred path. Their offering weaves ancient traditions with ways of living that feel relevant to the world we are in now and the future we are helping to shape. LEARN MORE
Stories of Transformation
Why Shalorea
We believe people long to feel fully alive again, to experience the joy of being embodied, rooted in the Earth, connected with one another, and part of the greater community of life.
At the heart of Shalorea is something we have come to understand through decades of living and working closely with the people and the Earth: human wellbeing cannot be separated from a living relationship with the Earth. Our bodies belong to the Earth, and the same Elements and living intelligence that sustain the forests, rivers, plants, and countless other beings are alive within us.
Shalorea offers a space to experience this connection with our whole being, to feel the Earth alive within us and rediscover the joy, wonder, and vitality that come with belonging. From this experience grows a deeper understanding that our lives and the future of the Earth are part of the same unfolding story and that how we live this relationship matters for generations to come.
